Spice up your rice with this cilantro flavor! Pairs great with low histamine shredded chicken.
* You can try a low histamine bone broth recipe like this one from a Food Centric Life
Combine all ingredients from part 1 in a medium size pot. Bring to a boil, then cover, turn the heat to low, and simmer for 15 min.
While the rice cooks, wash & chop cilantro, then mix the sugar, water, and cilantro together in a small bowl.
When the 15-20 min are up, check the rice to see if it's tender, and remove it from the heat. Stir in the sugar & cilantro as you fluff the rice, then enjoy! Freeze the leftovers in serving size portions.
We eat rice pretty often, usually with stir fry or sweet & sour meatballs. I wanted to make our Sunday taco dinner feel more fancy, so I made this rice to go with it. It's a low histamine version of cilantro lime rice from Costa Vida, so there's no lime. It really took our shredded chicken tacos to the next level!
