Spice up your rice with this cilantro flavor! Pairs great with low histamine shredded chicken.

Part 1
 1 cup white rice
 1 cup water
 1 cup low histamine chicken broth (see recipe link below)
 1 tsp minced garlic
 ½ tsp extra light tasting olive oil
Part 2
 2 tsp sugar
 1 tbsp water
 3 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
Histamine Level: 1
 Rated a 1 due to garlic. Note on cilantro, it's level 0 but only small amounts are well tolerated.

Combine all ingredients from part 1 in a medium size pot. Bring to a boil, then cover, turn the heat to low, and simmer for 15 min.

While the rice cooks, wash & chop cilantro, then mix the sugar, water, and cilantro together in a small bowl.

When the 15-20 min are up, check the rice to see if it's tender, and remove it from the heat. Stir in the sugar & cilantro as you fluff the rice, then enjoy! Freeze the leftovers in serving size portions.

We eat rice pretty often, usually with stir fry or sweet & sour meatballs. I wanted to make our Sunday taco dinner feel more fancy, so I made this rice to go with it. It's a low histamine version of cilantro lime rice from Costa Vida, so there's no lime. It really took our shredded chicken tacos to the next level!
